Safer-Media Initiative has officially relaunched its website following a prolonged outage that began in May 2025 due to technical disruptions. The organisation confirmed that while its website was down, it remained active across other digital platforms, particularly social media.

Executive Director Peter Iorter described the downtime as “a significant disruption,” but emphasized that the organisation used the period to rebuild with resilience and foresight.

“We’ve taken this challenge as an opportunity to strengthen our digital infrastructure. The new website is not just a restoration—it’s a reinvention. It’s designed to enrich how users experience our work and engage with our values,” Iorter said.

The updated platform features a secure backup system and reinforced cybersecurity measures aimed at preventing future data loss. While previously published content could not be recovered, the organisation has committed to producing fresh, high-quality material that reflects its mission and expands its reach.

The redesigned site offers improved navigation, dynamic content, and new opportunities for users to explore Safer-Media’s perspectives on various issues.

Safer-Media Initiative encourages visitors, partners, and media professionals to explore the new site and stay connected as it continues to champion responsible journalism and digital integrity.
